LinkedIn’s Military and Veterans Program is offering an upgraded 1-year of free premium membership which also includes over 14,000 learning courses from LinkedIn’s Learning Library.

Who Is Eligible?
- Veterans
- Veteran Caregivers (Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers)
- Fry Scholars (Dependents or children who lost their parent on-duty or after 9/11)

At this time, applicants who have a premium subscription cannot reapply for the discount. Membership begins from the time of registration and lasts for 12 months thereafter.
How Do I Apply?
Veterans need to sign up for an account and verify their status using Troop ID.
The application process looks slightly different for caregivers and Fry Scholars:
- If you are a Veteran Caregiver, send your full name, Veterans name, and contact information to [email protected].
- If you are Fry Scholar, send your full name, Veterans name, and contact information to [email protected].
Premium Membership Benefits
LinkedIn Learning: over 14,000 business, technical, and creative courses. There are course subjects for almost every field, including software development, graphic design, leadership, and more. Military spouses can benefit from the library as well.
InMail Feature: Set up your network with more visibility. Expand your profile and connect with a larger network. Premium search tools also fall under this feature.
Other Features for Veterans: LinkedIn for Veterans job tutorial, Translating Your Military Skills to Civilian Employment, and Finding Your Purpose After Active-Duty. Each of these resources can provide guidance and encouragement to enter the civilian workforce.
Learning Paths: LinkedIn created two pathway-specific courses, the Military to Civilian Employment and Military to Student Life Transition.
The first path, Military to Civilian Employment, is designed for Veterans who are ready to launch their civilian careers when they exit the military. Resources are available to create professional identities, support during job searches, tips for interviews and negotiation of pay.
The second path is the Military to Student Life for those who intend on earning a degree. This path focuses on standardized-testing prep such as the SATs, ACTs, and GRE. There are also resources for essay writing, internship information, and other study skills necessary for life in academia.
Military Spouses: They now have access to the same job search features as Veterans. Resources and training tools are available for all spouses in each military branch.
