Busch Gardens is a family-friendly theme park with rides, animal encounters, restaurants, shops, events and more with locations in Tampa Bay, Florida and Williamsburg, Virginia. Although originally developed as part of a marketing plan for the Anheuser-Busch company, Busch Gardens developed into thriving theme parks and is now is part of the SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment corporation.
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s Waves of Honor program offers one complimentary admission per year to Active-Duty military personnel and three direct dependents. Busch Gardens Williamsburg, VA also has a Waves of Honor program for active-duty military, as well as discounted tickets for military veterans. This discount also offers free parking.
Waves of Honor permits any U.S. active duty military, activated or drilling reservist, or National Guardsman to one complimentary admission per year to either SeaWorld®, Busch Gardens® or Sesame Place® for military personnel and as many as three direct dependents. Service members and their direct dependents must have a valid active military ID in order to participate. Inactive, standby and retired reserve members, military retirees, U.S. Merchant Marine and civilian Department of Defense workers are ineligible for the program.
You can purchase Military Pass to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Adventure Island with an U.S. active-duty military GovX log-in. It includes unlimited admission to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Adventure Island until December 31, 2023, with no blockout dates and includes free parking. Not available for purchase at the park. Check to see if similar pass is offered for 2024.
Busch Gardens does offer up to six discounted tickets to Busch Gardens Williamsburg and/or Water Country USA tickets. Instead, active-duty military can get up to six discounted tickets to Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Water Country USA. 1-Day tickets must be obtained online and redeemed at the park within one year from the date of purchase.
Multi-day tickets must be obtained online and redeemed at the park within 6 months from the date of purchase.
Busch Gardens & Water Country USA 2024 Military Pass lets you enjoy unlimited visits to the theme park, water park and general parking during through Jan. 1, 2025. Enjoy unlimited visits to Busch Gardens Williamsburg including Howl-O-Scream, Water Country USA, and Christmas Town™ now thru Jan. 1, 2025.
Active-duty military can get this offer online through GovX or through their MWR Office. Offer is only valid for admission and general parking at Busch Gardens Williamsburg including Howl-O-Scream, Water Country USA and Busch Gardens Williamsburg Christmas Town. Does not include discounts, Membership benefits or Membership events. Active Duty, Military Dependents, National Guard, Reserve, and Retired with a military ID and MWR privileges may purchase the Military Pass at their local MWR offices. Military Pass expires Jan. 1, 2025.

How does Busch Gardens verify military or veteran status?
Military members can qualify for the discount by signing up and verifying through ID.me online. They will need to visit the Waves of Honor page on the Busch Gardens website, pick which park they plan to attend, and then verify their ID directly through that park’s page.
How often can I use the Busch Gardens military discount?

While, spouses & family members of military personnel can create a GovX account, the complimentary/discounted tickets are only accessible to those accounts verified as a service member, veteran, or retiree. Once verified you can print out up to three direct dependent single day admission tickets.
